What are Parasites, Why is This Important?

A parasite is an organism that lives on or in a person and gets its food from that person. There are three main classes of parasites that can cause disease in humans: protozoa, helminths, and ectoparasites. Parasites Testing and Cure Program

Protozoa are microscopic, one-celled animals that can be free-living or parasitic in nature. They are able to multiply in humans, which permits serious infections to develop from just a single organism. Transmission of intestinal protozoa typically occurs through a fecal-oral route (for example, contaminated food or water or person-to-person contact). Protozoa that live in the blood or tissue of humans are transmitted to other humans by an arthropod vector (for example, through the bite of a mosquito or sand fly).

The protozoa that are infectious to humans can be classified into four groups based on their mode of movement:

  • Sarcodina – the ameba, e.g., Entamoeba
  • Mastigophora – the flagellates, e.g., Giardia, Leishmania
  • Ciliophora – the ciliates, e.g., Balantidium, Paramecium
  • Sporozoa – organisms whose adult stage is not motile (cannot move) e.g., Plasmodium, Cryptosporidium

Helminths are large, multicellular organisms (worms) that are generally visible to the naked eye in their adult stages. Like protozoa, helminths can be either free-living or parasitic in nature. In their adult form, helminths cannot multiply in humans, only in smaller, pre-adult form can they multiply in the gut. There are three main groups of human parasite helminths:

  • Flatworms (platyhelminths) – these include the trematodes (flukes) and cestodes (tapeworms).
  • Thorny-headed worms (acanthocephalins) – the adult forms of these worms reside in the gastrointestinal tract. The acanthocephalan are intermediate between the cestodes and nematodes.
  • Roundworms (nematodes) – the adult forms of these worms can reside in the gastrointestinal tract, blood, lymphatic system or subcutaneous tissues (in the fat or under the skin). Alternatively, the immature (larval) states can cause disease through their infection of various body tissues. Annelids include the segmented worms – the only ones important medically are the leeches.

Ectoparasites. Skin and hair louse. Although the term ectoparasites can broadly include blood-sucking arthropods such as mosquitoes (because they are dependent on a blood meal from a human host for their survival), that attach or burrow into the skin and remain there for relatively long periods of time (e.g., weeks to months). Arthropods are important in causing diseases in their own right, but are even more important as vectors, or transmitters, of many different pathogens that in turn cause tremendous morbidity and mortality from the diseases they cause.

Includes microscopic and visible organisms such as

  • Ticks
  • Fleas
  • Lice
  • Mites

Symptoms

Parasite symptoms shown in the above table that you can not explain.

  • Chronic digestive issues.
  • History of of food poisoning.
  • Travel internationally, especially if you had traveler’s diarrhea.
  • Unexplained weight gain or weight loss.
  • Nutritional deficiencies despite following a healthy diet.
  • Autoimmune disorders.

Severe infections can present as

  • Organ failure
  • Myocardial impairment
  • Rhabdomyolysis
  • Hepatitis
  • Maculopathy
  • Neurological problems

It is difficult to predict the severity of this infection, generally having to rely on symptoms and signs of the disease early on. BSI is able to test for multiple types of parasites and the diseases they may cause.

Vectors

Vector-borne diseases account for more than 17% of all infectious diseases, causing more than 700,000 deaths globally each year. They can be caused by either parasites, bacteria or viruses.

Malaria is a parasitic infection transmitted by Anopheline mosquitoes. It causes an estimated 219 million cases globally, and results in more than 400,000 deaths every year. Most of the deaths occur in children under the age of 5 years.

Dengue is the most prevalent viral infection transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. More than 3.9 billion people in over 129 countries are at risk of contracting dengue, with an estimated 96 million symptomatic cases and an estimated 40,000 deaths every year.

Other viral diseases transmitted by parasite vectors include chikungunya fever, Zika virus fever, yellow fever, West Nile fever, Japanese encephalitis (all transmitted by mosquitoes), tick-borne encephalitis (transmitted by ticks).

Anemia is the primary result of long-term digestive parasites.

Prevention

  • Prevent bug-borne diseases by avoiding mosquito and sand fly bites.
  • Consider staying fully covered up during low sun times.
  • Use UV insect lamps, one in each room, in a corner away from where you sit.
  • Spray the area around you with BSI Insect Repellant. Good lung therapy.
  • Drain stagnant water from the surrounding environment.
  • Avoid raw foods that have not been thoroughly washed in soap and water, and or cooked.
  • Avoid bathing in rivers down stream from domestic animal and human settlements.
  • Avoid contact with domestic animals that usually carry parasites that transmit easily to humans.
  • Avoid unprotected sex, especially the oral / anal route.
  • Chew food very well. Enzymes in saliva destroy parasites.

Diagnosis

  • Please note that full consultation with blood and urine testing are generally required, in order to determine reasons as well as proper prescription for correct therapy. We must determine if the body is well able to benefit and tolerate intensive parasite therapy, and to positively determine that parasites, and / or other causes are also in need of remedy – as parasite infection usually leads to a host of related conditions. Please see information here about the BSI Signature Holistic Health Reset & Detox – Testing, Diagnostics & Custom Prescribed Treatment. Parasite therapy is received concurrently with the Detox, making for the best possible outcome in the shortest time.

Therapy

Prescription made using this chart, the New Patient Guide, and the 43 day Detox and Reset as prescribed from test results.

Words of Encouragement

Parasites infection and healing is often a lifetime affair. We are constantly exposed and the body’s ability to process them can be affected by poor diet (sugars, preservatives, chemicals) and antibiotics-caused resistance. In some cases, weeks and rarely months are needed to affect parasites that were deeply imbedded in the body.

In any case, be patient, diligent, and avoid causes. Emotions may flare too. You may experience some strange eliminations, watch them to see if you are eliminating parasites. Usually only about 20% of parasites are visible, most are microscopic.
